This photo is part of a series documenting the quiet decay of a once-iconic retail space: Hudson’s Bay. In this image, dismembered mannequins lie scattered across the floor—limbs, torsos, and faces stripped of purpose, boxed and forgotten behind caution tape. Their presence evokes a strange intimacy, as if these human stand-ins are the last ones left to witness the end of an era. Though lifeless, the mannequins reflect traces of emotion: one figure stands intact, poised and stoic; others lie collapsed in a pile, broken and discarded. Through this tension between elegance and entropy, the image becomes a meditation on value, visibility, and the remnants of consumer culture.
