My motto underwater is "be still, get low, and look up." I saw this hawksbill from a short distance away and tried to position myself in its projected path, and I descended as quickly as I could. Fortunately, it came right over me. Most turtle photographs focus on the shell; by far the more interesting photographs are below the turtle.
