This series was done with the "painting with light" technique (Long exposures in combination with the use of specialized flashlights) which was done all in camera. The Echo Lake Park location in Los Angeles was important to me as it had a wonderful lake, towering water fountain, electric swan boats and the city night light which made for a wonderful backdrop. Having model/actress Faleena Hopkins as my model was very patient with me as she would have to hold very still while I would "draw" the light patterns about her. This style of shooting where I was an active participant as opposed to being a passive observer was a very satisfying experience.
