This series captures the KAIT Plaza in Kanagawa, Japan. Through a wide and thin columnless canopy, light arrives in fragments where shadows give it meaning. A solitary man meditates at the boundaries of opposite yet complementary spaces, where frames are framed within frames. The delicate balance and interconnectedness of presence and absence, light and shadow, movement and solitude, in this Japanese architecture echoes the idea of Yin & Yang in eastern philosophy.
