Photographer's Profile
Italy
Born in Sicily in 1981, grown up in Reggio Calabria and now living in Rome, I discovered my passion for photography at the age of 18, starting with an analog camera. I immediately immersed myself in the art of the darkroom, developing and printing black-and-white film myself. This experience deeply shaped my artistic approach, solidifying my love for black-and-white photography. In my images, I seek the essence of reality, using contrasts to give depth and meaning to the captured scene. Over the past 20 years, I have continued to explore the world of photography, embracing new technologies and tools. With the transition to digital, I expanded my expressive range, occasionally incorporating color while remaining loyal to my preference for black and white. For me, photography is a medium to capture fragments of reality and transform them into works capable of evoking deep emotions and reflections. My works have been selected for group exhibitions, such as Fratture Urbane and Un Ponte per la Fotografia, and have been exhibited and sold in galleries. Through my photography, I aim to explore and narrate the world around me, always searching for an authentic and personal point of view.
