Grzegorz Hussak

Grzegorz Hussak, born in Opole in 1988, a graduate of the Institute of Art in 2012 (Opole University), has been a member of the Association of Polish Visual Artists (ZPAP) since 2013; in 2022, he became a member of the ZPAP board. Professionally, he works in education, teaching photography in schools, and has participated in numerous photography workshops and courses for both youth and adults. He collaborates with cultural and art institutions in Opole. Since 2021, he has been working at the Department of Art in Opole. Since 2017, he has been a co-editor of the Opole Photography Magazine "Mocny Kadr." He primarily works in the techniques of black-and-white classic medium- and large-format photography. He runs a research laboratory, exploring topics related to the harmony of abstract images, the aesthetics of error, experiments with expired photographic materials, overexposure and underexposure in photography, as well as project-based portrait photography. Participation in group exhibitions: 2015: Participation in the photography exhibition accompanying the Opole Photography Festival. From 2015 to 2020: Participation in the interdisciplinary art exhibition of Opole artists, "Salon Jesienny," at the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Opole. 2022: Spring Salon at the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Opole. 2023: Spring Salon at the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Opole. 2023: Presentation of solargraphy photography in an experimental technique at the Midisage during the Brzeg Pinhole Photography Festival. 2023: Participation in the international scientific conference in Czech Republic, Ondrejov Observatory, presenting his authorial technique of "solargraphy on glass negatives." 2024/25: Presentation of the award-winning photograph at an international exhibition in Venice, Lab Malmegi. Participation in solo exhibitions: 2013: Photography exhibition "Reflexio" at the Municipal Public Library Gallery. 2017: Photography exhibition at the ZPAP Gallery. 2023: "Pride" - a photography exhibition with large-format photographic installation with light. Ongoing exhibition of works in his own gallery at Kośnego 45 in Opole. 2024: Project exhibition "States of Consciousness" - awarded with a scholarship from the Marshal of Opole Voivodeship. 2025: "Architecture 2.0" exhibition at the First Floor Gallery in ZPAP.
