This photograph was taken on a visit to the ancient city of Mandu,Northern India. The kingdom town is more than 1000 years old and now lays in partial ruins. Walking through the huge expanse of buildings which was part of once a floushing township I came across this structure. A huge hall with arches, beautifully symetrical. The sun shone from an angle casting long shadows making the subject beautiful. The roof has since fallen down leaving a open sky. The architecture is reminiscent of Indo-Afghan and Turkish influence.
